Puerto Cortés Hotels
Hotel Costa Azul, Playa de El Faro, drive downtown past Parque
Central, one block and turn right, continue on to beach, turn left and
you're there. Large resort type hotel right on beach, pool, restaurant
and nice clean rooms, TV, pool, bar, restaurant and everything you might
want. The rooms are slightly small, but not that noticeably small. Rooms
about $35 night, restaurant priced a bit higher than most in the area.
Telephones 55-2260, 1 and 2. You can use the pool without being a guest,
cost about $1.50 per person.
Hotel Costa Mar, Playa de Coca Cola, about one mile on the road
to Omoa, right hand turn off, watch for sign. Moderately priced at about
$30 night, satellite TV, hot water, restaurant, bar, located right on beach.

Hotel Mr. Ggeer, located almost downtown. Clean, well maintained,
second floor, older hotel. Favorite of business people coming for short
visits. Restaurant, bar, laundry service, and air conditioned. Cost around
$30 night The above two hotels are also owned by Mr. Ggeerr and family.

Hotel Playa, Playa de Cienaguita, about 10 miles from Puerto Cortes
on the road to Omoa. Very nice resort like hotel right on the beach, restaurant,
bar, TV, hot water. Priced about $40 to $50 night. Telephone 55-0453 and

Hotel Frontera del Caribe on the beach coastal road to Travesia.
Nice for the economy traveler. Basic, but clean, $7 night.
Club Nautico about 10 miles from Puerto Cortes on the road to Omoa
located on the beach just past Hotel Playa (drive into Hotel Playa and
make a left), private beach, picnic areas, small shaded picnic areas available.
There is a small service charge, but worth it, the beach area is kept clean
and is a restful place to relax. A solitary bungalow rents for about $30
night
Farther on down the road to Omoa is the Acantilados del Caribe,
bar, restaurant and hotel available. Hotel units are cabins built on the
hills overlooking the ocean, $40 night Telephone 55-1403, 55-1416. See
