Amor y Vida Home for Children w/cancer, affiliated with the World Opportunities International, a non-denominational Christian organization based in Hollywood, California. Nuestro Pequenos Hermans, an orphage run by the Catholic Church. Located on the road to Olanlcho on a 2,000 acre ranch. "Anyone is welcome to volunteer, after going through a screening process." Volunteers come from the U.S., Canada, Europe as well as Latin America. For more information contact Reinhart Kohler at 36-7320.

El Sembrado is a combination farm, school and orphanage. It is home to 180 boys from all across Honduras. It is operated by the World Gospel Mission of Marion, Ohio, a U.S. based missionary organization. Terry Hawks is the director. It is located seven miles outside of Catacamas in the Olancho department and comprises 2000 acres. Founded in 1954, it has been the home for many disadvantaged boys. Visitors are welcome and they will be happy to give you a tour.

The Paths of Love Boys Home provides a home, schooling and agricultural training to 53 boys. For more information visit or write the home at 2nd Avenida, 2nd Calle in Colonia Country, San Pedro Sula.

PARTNERS OF THE AMERICAS, is a nonprofit (organization) which links individual US states with Individual Latin American countries. Vermont is linked to Honduras. There are 60 partnerships, I believe. Some of the projects I know about have brought educators, farmers, business people, artists and others to Vermont where they stay with families and attend workshops, visit sites, classrooms and the like. There are student exchange programs and cultural ones, too.

The Honduras Project is a non-profit group of college students that seeks to improve the economic and sociological well-being of the people of Honduras. We will be going to Honduras on March 28, 1996 - April 8,1996 to install a gravity fed water system to a village of 1800 Hondurans. The purpose of this water project is to bring irragation water so that the entire village can plant and harvest crops year-round instead of sessionally.
