NASAP: The North American Substance Abuse program was written to address the need to consolidate the drug and alcohol records of a transient workforce. Four Third Party Administrator companies work with collection sites to administer test results and feed data to the NASAP engine developed by Marrder Omnimedia. Cutting edge XML web services technologies provide a solid communications infrastructure, while a complex back-end processes the status of individuals in real-time. The status is enforced in the field using Marrder Omnimedia's Gatecheck technology equipped with barcode scanners, and a voice XML gateway that can be invoked through speech recognition using cellular phones. Hundreds of thousands of transaction events have been processed since the technology was deployed. |
